Abstract
The present invention provides sensitive and real-time detection of nucleic acids under isothermal conditions, wherein the detection method includes the use of a dual-function oligonucleotide. The dual-function oligonucleotide contains a single fluorophore and double quencher moieties for real time monitoring of signal amplification and works as an accelerated nucleic acid amplification primer or oligonucleotides.
