Abstract
A wire rod comprising, by wt%, carbon (C): 0.9% to 1.2%, silicon (Si): 0.8% to 1.4%, manganese (Mn): 0.2% to 0.6%, chrome (Cr): 0.3% to 0.7%, vanadium (V): 0.05% to 0.1%, soluble aluminum (Sol.Al): 0.02% to 0.05%, phosphorus (P): 0.015% or less, sulfur (S): 0.015% or less, nitrogen (N): 0.002% to 0.01%, oxygen (O): 0.01% or less, iron (Fe) as a residual component, and inevitable impurities, wherein a length of a proeutectoid cementite crystal having the greatest length to a surface of the wire rod is less than or equal to 10% of a boundary length of an austenite grain from which the proeutectoid cementite crystal having the greatest length is precipitated in a region 1/4r, where r is a radius of a wire rod, in a direction from a central portion of the wire rod is provided together with a heat-treated wire rod using the same and a method of manufacturing the wire rod and the heat-treated wire rod.
