An automated paddy drying system (100) includes a plurality of sensors (102) for measuring a plurality of parameters associated with the paddy drying operation, a gateway controller (104) capable of receiving the parameters collected by the sensors (102), at least one server (106) for processing a plurality of information including information received from the sensors (102), at least one machine controller (108) for receiving a plurality of instructions from the gateway controller (104) for controlling operation of a plurality of machines associated with the automated paddy drying operation and a wireless communication channel (110) for enabling communication between the sensors (102), gateway controller (104), machine controller (108) and the server (106). The automated paddy drying system (100) remotely monitors the plurality of parameters associated with the paddy drying operation and processes the information in real-time and automates the paddy drying operation at optimal air flow and at optimal temperature based on real-time environment conditions to optimize paddy drying capacity, reduce wastage, reduce operating cost and improve yield.
