Abstract
A filter system of an in-containment refueling water storage tank is provided, comprising a coarse debris rack (4) located above an opening (7) made in a floor slab above the in-containment refueling water storage tank, a debris holding basket (5) disposed in the in-containment refueling water storage tank below the opening (7) in the said floor slab, the elevation of an upper opening of the debris holding basket (5) being higher than the maximum water level in the in-containment refueling water storage tank and the said upper opening is in alignment with the opening (7) in the floor slab above the in-containment refueling water storage tank; inside the in-containment refueling water storage tank, the debris holding basket (5) being installed independently of a pump suction strainer (6) or may be connected with the pump suction strainer (6) using fasteners; the coarse debris rack (4), the debris holding basket (5) and the pump suction strainer (6) comprising a three-stage filtering system.
