The present invention relates to low cost and simple method of producing animal feed pellets from soybean waste and Azolla. Accordingly, the method of producing animal feed pellets comprises the steps of (a) pretreating soybean waste by mixing with coconut residue to obtain a treated soybean waste; (b) mixing and heating said treated soybean waste with Azolla to obtain a mixture composition; (c) fermenting said mixture composition in a closed container to obtain a fermented mixture; and (d) pelletizing said fermented mixture to obtain pellets.
