Abstract

Provided is a method for pretreating an oil palm trunk capable of efficiently removing alkali metal and chlorine from the oil palm trunk (OPT). A method for pretreating an oil palm trunk according to the present invention includes: a step (a) of crushing an oil palm trunk; a step (b) of washing the oil palm trunk crushed in the step (a) with water under application of a physical shock; a step (c) of washing the oil palm trunk washed with water in the step (b) by water spraying after drainage; and a step (d) of squeezing the oil palm trunk washed by water spraying in the step (c).
