The washing machine (100) includes an outer drum (10); an inner drum (20) rotatably disposed in the outer drum (10); a balance ring (30) configured to be annular and disposed to an upper edge of the inner drum (20), the balance ring (30? including an inner ring (31) and an outer ring (32), the inner ring (31) being disposed on an inner side of the outer ring (32), and the inner ring (31) and the outer ring (32) defining a chamber (33) separately, at least one of the chambers (33) being provided with a balance material therein, and a horizontal height of an upper surface of the inner ring (31) being lower than a horizontal height of an upper surface of the outer ring (32); a drum cover (40) disposed on the outer drum (10).
