Abstract

The present invention provides a method for predicting a landslide disaster on a specific area, the method comprising pre-determining data (401) having variables of the specific area that are associated to landslide, wherein the variables includes geological data, hydrological data, and landslide historical data; pre-classifying each of the variables with specific indicators and boundaries, wherein the specific indicator is associated to a rating of the respective variables, wherein the boundaries includes an upper and lower boundary for each of the variables; generating a landslide disaster prediction index (403) for the specific area, wherein the landslide disaster prediction index comprises visualizations and rankings of the specific areas through a Cartesian co-ordinate, wherein the Cartesian co-ordinate represents a risk ratio of the specific indicator; ranking the specific areas based on the Cartesian co-ordinates; and identifying a disaster risk landslide area based on the rankings of the specific areas generated from the landslide disaster prediction index.
