The present invention relates to an improved multipurpose reinforced concrete article. The multipurpose reinforced concrete article preferably comprises a reinforcing member comprising a plurality of bamboo timbers derived from Gigantochloa scortechinii bamboo coupled to each other in a predetermined layout by a wire mesh or wire strand, optionally strengthen with a tie bar and a lightweight concrete comprising a lightweight material selected from a group comprising perlite and palm kernel shell. The lightweight concrete substantially encapsulates the reinforcing member deployed in a removable mold member containing the lightweight concrete thereof and is subject to curing. Figure 1
