There is provided a floating solar exposure optimization apparatus (20) comprising: at least one vessel (22, 24), each including at least two compartments (26, 28), each of the compartments (26, 28) being configured to be able to vary its buoyancy; at least one solar energy collector (36) being mounted to the at least one vessel (22, 24); and a central axle (38) including a resting portion (40) at each end, the central axle (38) being mounted to the at least one vessel (22, 24). It is advantageous that the variation of the buoyancy of each compartment (26, 28) enables a tilting movement of the at least one solar energy collector (36) when the apparatus (20) is placed in water.
