Abstract
An apparatus is provided for detecting a loose electrical connection, the apparatus comprising: a housing (10a) comprising one or more electrical connections; a current supply provided to the housing; a temperature sensor (17) for sensing the temperature of ambient air in the housing; a processor (14) adapted to determine the temperature change in the housing on the basis of the sensed temperature and to further determine the rate of change of the temperature change, wherein the processor is operable to detect that there is a loose electrical connection on the basis of the further determination. A corresponding method is also provided. (Figure 1)
