Abstract

The present invention relates to a system (I 00) for distributing applications in wide area network, comprising a platform controller (110) means for providing application programming interface to receive virtual images from application service provider (101), a data storage device (120) means for storing a plurality of virtual images, a hypervisor (130) having decoding means for decoding the virtual images into executable virtual machines (150), and said hypervisor (130) having means for executing and managing the virtual machines (150). In another embodiment, the present invention discloses a method for distributing and accessing applications in wide area network. Most illustrative figure: Figure 2
