Abstract
Provided are methods and related equipment for implementing automatic area reproduction. A Packet Transport Network, PTN, includes reproduction source Network Elements, NEs, and reproduced NEs connected with the reproduction source NEs, and a flow executed by any reproduction source NE includes that: area reproduction functions of Management Communication Channel, MCC, interfaces, which are connected with reproduced NEs, on the production source NE are enabled (A1); an area reproduction request message is automatically sent (A2) to a neighboring reproduced NE through a corresponding MCC interface, of which the area reproduction function is enabled, on the reproduction source NE; and when a response message sent by the neighboring reproduced NE is received, the global area reproduction function of the reproduction source NE is disabled (A3). According to the technical scheme, PTN activation efficiency in a convenient activation and plug and play scenario is improved, and compared with a method for implementing area deployment operation only in a manual manner in the related technology, the method has the advantages that labor and financial cost is greatly reduced, time required by network activation is greatly shortened, the network activation efficiency is improved and the degree of satisfaction of an operating company is increased.
