Abstract

The present invention provides a porous polymer flat-sheet membrane for MBR having high strength wherein surface of membrane pores is kept hydrophilic for a long period and high water permeability and anti-fouling properties are kept for a long period. A porous polymer flat-sheet membrane for MBR comprising a flat-membrane structural body wherein a hydrophobic porous polymer membrane and a sheet-form substrate supporting it are integrated with each other, characterized in that hydroxypropyl cellulose is dispersed and fixed in a state of fine particles to the flat-sheet membrane, and that size of the fine particles of hydroxypropyl cellulose within a range of 5 ?m depth from outermost surface of the flat-sheet membrane is 5 to 100 nm.
