Abstract
The present invention relates to nanosilica composite film and a method for preparing a single layer nanosilica composite film using nanosilica powder extracted from rice husk. One of the advantages of the present invention is that it provides an alternative solution to lower the production and material cost of forming single layer nanosilica composite film. Furthermore, the method of producing single layer nanosilica composite film of the present invention provides feasible production with a single screw extruder. Another advantage of the present invention provides a substitution for higher cost of multilayer films used in the food packaging industries and other similar application. Nanosilica composite film produced in the present invention is environmental friendly and made from rice husk i.e. a waste. The most illustrative drawing is Figure 3.
