Abstract

The present invention provides a furniture system (700) which includes a partition wall assembly (702) for use in e.g. an office environment. The partition wall (702) has a pair of posts (710), a panel (120) disposed between the pair of posts (710), and a pair of connecting members (130) holding the panel (120) and the posts (710) together. A first end portion of the connecting member (130) is slidably fitted into an inner groove portion of the panel along a longitudinal direction. A second end portion of the connecting member (130) is slidably fitted into an inner channel portion of the post along the longitudinal direction. The connecting members (130) restrict relative movement between the posts (710) and the panel (120) along a lateral direction. The panel (120) and the pair of posts (710) are therefore held together by the connecting members (130) to form an integral partition panel.
