Abstract
The present invention provides a turbine apparatus (10, 110, 210) for extracting energy from a flowing fluid. The turbine apparatus (10, 110, 210) comprises at least one turbine unit (11, 111) through which the fluid passes, a simulation pump (14) for delivering fluid to the at least one turbine unit (11, 111), and a reservoir (20, 220) for storing the fluid, wherein the turbine unit (11, 111) is configured to draw the fluid there through.
