Abstract

The object of the present invention is to provide an apparatus for preparing precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) wherein PCC is prepared at room temperature using calcium hydroxide suspension having high concentration range as well as low concentration range. An orifice-loop-type reactor for synthesizing nano precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) includes an inlet injecting suspension; pressure gauges checking pressure of suspension, positioned at front and rear of an orifice; and orifice increasing flow velocity of suspension; a CO2 cylinder and a CO2 flowmeter feeding CO2; a reactor; a circulation valve and a discharge valve; a pump circulating precipitated calcium carbonate having low concentration; and a loop corresponding to a circulating path of the precipitated calcium carbonate having low concentration, In the preparation process of the precipitated calcium carbonate, gas-liquid contact surfaces may be increased, uniformity may be maintained, and the precipitated calcium carbonate having high temperature may be prepared through a recarbonation process of the precipitated calcium carbonate having low temperature.
