Abstract

A semiconductor bifacial solar cell capable of transmitting light through it in a controllable fashion comprising a plurality of semiconductor wafer (5) sandwiched between two layers of EVA films (10), in which the EVA films (10) are sandwiched between two layers of transparent materials (9); and a reflector (8) placed near and in parallel relationship to the solar cell, characterized in that the semiconductor wafer (5) with two surfaces (1, 4) has at least one surface having a plurality of etched holes (2), each connecting to a passage. The transmitted light is 10 directed to the rear surface of the bifacial solar cell with the assistance of appropriate reflectors.
