Abstract
The present invention discloses a method of producing nanocellulose from natural fibres comprising the steps of cutting into small pieces reducing said pieces mechanically to pulp, soaking said pulp in diluting solution to degrade said fibres and wet-milling said fibres to form nanocellulose. The present invention also discloses a composition of nanocellulose produced from natural fibres using wet milling method, wherein the natural fibres are further characterized as banana stem, kenaf, rice straw, oil palm fibres, pineapple fibres, leaves fibres such as lalang grass and rubber tree leaves and any other agricultural wastes.
