Abstract
The present invention relates to novel foaming surfactants. The foaming surfactant formulation comprises a polyethylene glycol dodecyl ether sulphate, alpha olefin sulfonate and hydroxysultaine. The formulation is effective at a high temperature of 90?C. The formulation is effective in mobility control of carbon dioxide gas for Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) applications. The formulation has foam rupture capacity after 1900 seconds. The formulation generates stable foam with carbon dioxide/oil/brine system.
