The present invention relates to an antiviral composition for inhibiting dengue virus. The composition comprises of an affective amount of Phyllanthus extract. Wherein the Phyllanthus extract comprises an active ingredient. Preferably, the Phyllanthus extract is selected from one or combination of Phyllanthus watsonii, Phyllanthus urinaria, Phyllanthus amarus and Phyllanthus niruri.
