Abstract

A process for removing petroleum acids in hydrocarbon oils containing acid, which comprises hydrocarbon oils containing acid are heated to from 470?C to 580?C and then fed into a reactor, wherein the pressure and the residence time of the hydrocarbon oils containing acid in the reactor should be set to decompose the petroleum acids. The distillate from the reactor enter into a fractionator for fractionating into the fractions of gas, naphtha, diesel, gas oil, and recycle oil. This process can be used to treat feed stocks such as crude oils containing acid by means of a delayed coking device. The process is simple, economic, and able to continuously and deeply remove petroleum acids in hydrocarbon oils containing acid.
