Abstract

A SOLID NATURAL RUBBER HAVING A NITROGEN CONTENT OF 0.6% BY MASS OR HIGHER IS PRODUCED BY DRYING NATURAL RUBBER LATEX WITHOUT COAGULATION OF THE NATURAL RUBBER LATEX, SQUEEZING OF WATER OUT FROM A COAGULUM, OR WASHING OF THE COAGULUM WITH WATER. A LARGE AMOUNT OF PROTEIN ORIGINALLY INCLUDED IN NATURAL RUBBER REMAINS IN THE PRODUCED SOLID NATURAL RUBBER. IN ADDITION, A NATURAL RUBBER COMPOSITION IS PREPARED TO INCLUDE THE PRODUCED SOLID NATURAL RUBBER, AND A CROSS-LINKED PRODUCT IS PRODUCED BY CROSS-LINKING THE NATURAL RUBBER COMPOSITION. THE CROSS-LINKING DENSITY AND STRENGTH ARE HIGH IN THE RESULTANT CROSS-LINKED PRODUCT.
