Abstract
The present invention discloses a grinding machine (1) having a twin spindle head (11), each spindle carrying a grinding wheel (9, 15), one for roughing and the other for finishing. The grinding machine (1) comprises a main spindle (12), a pair of sub-spindle, a first sub-spindle (13) and a second sub-spindle (14), each carrying a grinding wheel (9, 15) one for roughing and the other for finishing and a belting (6, 7) connecting the main spindle (12) to the first and second sub-spindle (13, 14). The first sub-spindle (13) and second sub-spindle (14) are rotating at same speed and in the same direction. The first sub-spindle (13) and second sub-spindle (14) are interchangeable in position such that there is no downtime involve between roughing and finishing of a work-piece.
