Abstract

A SADDLE TYPE VEHICLE INCLUDES A VEHICLE BODY FRAME (3), A SEAT, A SEAT CONNECTING DEVICE, A SEAT LOCK DEVICE (14), AND A LOCK RELEASE DEVICE (15). THE SEAT LOCK DEVICE (14) INCLUDES A LOCKING MEMBER (16) PROVIDED ON ONE OF THE FRAME (3) AND SEAT, AND A LOCKING MECHANISM (17) ARRANGED TO LOCK THE LOCKING MEMBER (16) AND PROVIDED ON THE OTHER OF THE FRAME (3) AND SEAT. THE SEAT LOCK DEVICE (14) INCLUDES A LOCKING POSITION ADJUSTING MECHANISM (42) CAPABLE OF ADJUSTING THE HEIGHT OF A LOCKING POSITION. THE SEAT LOCK DEVICE (14) CAUSES THE LOCKING MECHANISM (17) TO LOCK THE LOCKING MEMBER (16) AT THE LOCKING POSITION IN STATE IN WHICH A PORTION OF THE SEAT IS CONNECTED TO THE FRAME (3) BY THE SEAT CONNECTING DEVICE. THE LOCK RELEASE DEVICE (15) RELEASES A LOCK OF THE SEAT BY THE SEAT LOCK DEVICE (14). (FIG. 1)
