Abstract
THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES TO A NOVEL PROCESS FOR ANIONIC POLYMERIZATION OF LACTAM MONOMERS USING AT LEAST ONE CATALYST AND AT LEAST ONE ACTIVATOR, WHEREIN DISCRETE DROPLETS OF THE REACTION MIXTURE ARE METERED INTO A SURROUNDING GAS PHASE AND REACTED, THE LACTAM, CATALYST AND ACTIVATOR AND THE MIXTURE OF COMPONENTS BEING METERED IN CONTINUOUSLY, TO POLYAMIDE PARTICLES PRODUCIBLE BY THE PROCESS AND TO THE USE OF THE POLYAMIDE PARTICLES FOR EXTRUSION FILMS, FILAMENTS, STANDARD INJECTION-MOLDING APPLICATIONS, LASER SINTERING, FLAME SPRAYING, POWDER COATING, ROTOMOLDING, ORGANOPANELS AND/OR COSMETICS.
