Abstract
PROVIDED IS A BIOLOGICAL EFFLUENT TREATMENT METHOD AND A BIOLOGICAL EFFLUENT TREATMENT APPARATUS THAT ALLOW HIGH-LOAD OPERATION IN A BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT TANK (4). ASH GENERATED BY COMBUSTING BIOMASS, SUCH AS AN EMPTY FRUIT BUNCH (EFB), FIBER, OR A PALM KERNEL SHELL (PKS), CONTAINS A MICRONUTRIENT ELEMENT THAT IS NECESSARY TO PERFORM BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT SUCH AS METHANE FERMENTATION TREATMENT, ORGANIC EFFLUENT SUCH AS PALM OIL MILL EFFLUENT (POME) BEING SHORT OF THE MICRONUTRIENT ELEMENT. THEREFORE, ADDITION OF THE ASH TO THE ORGANIC EFFLUENT SUPPLEMENTS THE MICRONUTRIENT ELEMENT TO THE ORGANIC EFFLUENT, THEREBY MAKING IT POSSIBLE TO PERFORM THE HIGH-LOAD OPERATION IN THE BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT TANK SUCH AS THE METHANE FERMENTATION TANK (4).
