Abstract

AN INTERDENTAL BRUSH (1,2) IN THE PRESENT INVENTION INCLUDES A HANDLE BODY (10), A NOZZLE BODY (20) WHICH IS PROVIDED IN THE HANDLE BODY IN A PROTRUDING MANNER, AND A BRUSH BODY (30) IN WHICH FILAMENTS (32) ARE PROVIDED IN A WIRE (31) OF WHICH A BASE END (31A) IS INSERTED INTO THE NOZZLE BODY, IN WHICH THE NOZZLE BODY INCLUDES A TAPERED PORTION (20A, 20C) AND A STRAIGHT PORTION (20B,20E), THE NOZZLE BODY IS FLEXIBLE ALONG WITH A MOVEMENT OF THE BRUSH BODY, THE TAPERED PORTION BECOMES GRADUALLY THIN TOWARD A TIP END THEREOF, AND THE SIDE SURFACE (21,24) OF THE TAPERED PORTION FORMS A CONCAVELY CURVED SURFACE FROM THE TIP END TO A BASE END, THE STRAIGHT PORTION IS EXTENDED TO THE TIP END OF THE TAPERED PORTION, AND A SHAPE OF A CROSS SECTION WHICH CROSSES THE EXTENDING DIRECTION IS APPROXIMATELY THE SAME ACROSS THE EXTENDING DIRECTION. ACCORDING TO THE PRESENT INVENTION, IT IS POSSIBLE TO PROVIDE AN INTERDENTAL BRUSH IN WHICH A DURABILITY OF THE WIRE IS SUFFICIENTLY HIGH, AND THE WIRE IS HARDLY BROKEN EVEN WHEN THE NUMBER OF USES IS INCREASED.
