Abstract

A TUBULAR STENT (10) FOR INSERTION INTO A BODY PASSAGEWAY COMPRISES A TUBULAR BODY HAVING A PLURALITY OF CONCENTRIC FRAMES ADJACENTLY COUPLED TOGETHER ALONG THE LENGTH OF SAID BODY, EACH FRAME HAVING AN INNER (30) AND OUTER OCTAGONAL BANDS (20) INTERCONNECTED TO A PLURALITY OF JOINT MEMBERS (40). INNER SAID BANDS (30) EXPAND FASTER THAN THE JOINT MEMBERS (40) AND OUTER SAID BANDS (20) WHEN THE TUBULAR STENT (10) EXPANDS RADIALLY FROM UNDEPLOYED CONDITION TO DEPLOYED CONDITION. THE TUBULAR STENT (10) IS USEFUL IN INTRAVASCULAR OR INTRALUMINAL IMPLANTATION. ACCOMPANYING DRAWING:
