WHEN A CHANGE-OVER SWITCH (3) IS TURNED OFF WHILE A POWER SWITCH (1) IS IN AN ON STATE, A POWER-SAVING CONTROL SECTION (2) SETS A NORMAL OPERATION STATE WHERE A MAIN POWER SWITCH (12) AND ALL SUB POWER SWITCHES (12) ARE PLACED IN AN ON STATE. WHEN THE CHANGE-OVER SWITCH (3) IS TURNED ON IN THE NORMAL OPERATION STATE, THE POWER-SAVING CONTROL SECTION (2) TURNS OFF THE MAIN POWER SWITCH 12 AND SETS A FIRST POWER-SAVING STATE WHERE AT LEAST ONE SUB POWER SWITCH AMONG THE SUB POWER SWITCHES (10) IS PLACED IN AN OFF STATE IN ACCORDANCE WITH A RELATIONAL TABLE PREVIOUSLY STORED IN A ROM INCLUDED IN THE POWER-SAVING CONTROL SECTION (2). WHEN THE CHANGE-OVER SWITCH (3) IS TURNED OFF WHILE AN IMAGE RECORDING CIRCUIT (18) IS PERFORMING AN IMAGE RECORDING OPERATION, THE POWER-SAVING CONTROL SECTION (2) SETS THE FIRST POWER-SAVING STATE AFTER WAITING UNTIL THE IMAGE RECORDING OPERATION IS COMPLETED.
