Abstract

THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES TO A PROCESS OF PRODUCING A FIBRE MAT USING FIBRE FROM OIL PALM, COMPRISING THE STEPS OF DE-OILING AND DEWATERING OF A SHREDDED FIBRE (2) BY PRESSURE PRESS, DRYING SAID SHREDDED FIBRE (3) IN A DRYING DEVICE, FEEDING SAID DRIED SHREDDED FIBRE IN A HOPPER (4), DISTRIBUTING SAID DRIED SHREDDED FIBRE DISCHARGED FROM SAID HOPPER ONTO A CONVEYOR (4) BY A BRUSH ROLLER, STITCHING SAID FIBRE TOGETHER (5) INTO A MAT FORM, SPRAYING LATEX ONTO SAID STITCHED FIBRE (6) TO MAINTAIN THE SHAPE OF THE FIBRE MAT, AND DRYING THE FIBRE MAT (7) IN AN OVEN. THE FIBRE MAT CAN BE CUT (8) INTO VARIOUS SHAPES FOR USE AS FURNITURE FILLINGS, SANDSTORM CONTROLLER, AND SOIL EROSION CONTROLLER OR MOULDED INTO DIFFERENT SIZES AND SHAPES FOR USE AS FLOWERPOT.
