Abstract

MEDICAL SUPPORT SERVICE UNIT FOR INTENSIVE CARE ROOMS COMPRISING CONNECTORS SUCH AS FOR GAS SUPPLY AND SUCTION, ELECTRIC POWER SUPPLY AND OTHER ELECTRIC CONNECTORS AS REQUIRED AND FORMING A SUPPORT STRUCTURE FOR EQUIPMENT NECESSARY CLOSE TO THE BED IN AN INTENSIVE CARE ROOM, SUCH AS A MONITOR (30), SUCTION UNITS (37), BLOOD PRESSURE MONITORS. THE SERVICE UNIT IS A RECTANGULAR FRAME OF FOUR BEAMS (25, 26, 27, 28), ENCIRCLING A RECTANGULAR SPACE. THE FRAME IS SUPPORTED BY A PIVOTABLE ARM (22,23,20) AND A BEARING (24), IN ORDER TO EXTEND ESSENTIALLY VERTICALLY FROM THE ARM AND DOWNWARDS TO ADJACENT THE FLOOR. THE RECTANGULAR SPACE ENCLOSES EQUIPMENT (30, 32) WHICH ARE WELL PROTECTED BY AND INSERTED INSIDE THE FRAME INTERLEAVED FROM ONE SIDE OR THE OTHER. THE RECTANGULAR SPACE IS SUFFICIENTLY OPEN FOR ALLOWING SIGHT THROUGH THE FRAME FOR SUPERVISION OF THE PATIENT. THE SPACE OUTSIDE THE VERTICAL BEAMS IS FREE FOR SERVICE STAFF TO WORK AND INCLUDES THE NECESSARY GAS AND ELECTRIC CONNECTORS. (FIG 2)
