Abstract

THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES TO A RELEASE-CONTROLLED FORMULATION OS A SOMATOTROPIN HAVING A LONG IN VIVO HALF-LIFE WITH LITTLE SIDE EFFECTS TO ANIMALS, AND A METHOD FOR PREPARATION THEREOF COMPRISING THE STEPS OF: MIXING THE SOMATOTROPIN WITH LECITHIN HOMOGENEOUSLY TO FORM A MIXTURE; DISSOLVING THE MIXTURE IN AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION TO FORM A LIPOSOMAL SOMATOTROPIN SOLUTION; LYOPHILIZING SAID LIPOSOMAL SOMATOTROPIN UNDER CONVENTIONAL CONDITIONS FOR LYOPHILIZATION; AND SUSPENDING SAID LYOPHILIZED LIPOSOMAL SOMATOTROPIN IN A TOCOPHEROL DERIVATIVE TO FORM THE RELEASE-CONTROLLED FORMULATION.
