ACCORDING TO THIS INVENTION, THE DETECTION OF SUCH GENETIC MARKERS IDENTIFIES A PLANT AS HAVING A DESIRED PHENOTYPE. THESE METHODS ARE ALSO USEFUL FOR BREEDING PLANT SPECIES HAVING IMPROVED AGRONOMICAL FEATURES. FURTHERMORE, THE DETECTION OF GENETIC MARKERS MAY ALSO BE EMPLOYED TO DETERMINE THE ORIGIN OF A EURYCOMA LONGIFOLIA PLANT.
