Abstract
DISCLOSED IS A TILT SENSOR IN WHICH THE PROBLEM OF CONVENTIONAL TILT SENSOR HAS BEEN ELIMINATED; WHEN APPLIED TO A WRISTWATCH OR THE LIKE, CONVENTIONAL TILT SENSORS WILL ALLOW THEIR SPHERICAL MOVABLE CONTACT TO FREQUENTLY COME INTO CONTACT WITH A PAIR OF CONTACT PORTIONS OF STATIONARY CONTACTS WHENEVER THE WRISTWATCH IS MOVED FREELY, WITH THE RESULT THAT A LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE FREQUENTLY LIGHTS UP, WHICH IS A WASTE OF POWER. TO PREVENT THIS USELESS LIGHTING UP, A LIGHT-UP PERIOD CONTROL CIRCUIT CONSISTING OF AN LSI OR THE LIKE HAS CONVENTIONALLY INCORPORATED IN THE TILT SENSOR, RESULTING IN A RATHER HIGH PRODUCTION COST. A TILT SENSOR OF THE PRESENT INVENTION INCLUDES: A CASING 11 WHICH IS COMPOSED OF A BOTTOM PLATE 11A AND SIDE PLATES 11B, 11C, 11D, 11E AND TO THE TOP PORTION OF WHICH A COVER 16 IS ATTACHED; A SPHERICAL MOVABLE CONTACT 15 MOVABLY ACCOMODATED IN THE CASING 11; A HOME POSITION 11F FOR TEMPORARILY HOLDING THE MOVABLE CONTACT ON ONE SIDE OF THE CASING 11; STATIONARY CONTACTS 13 AND WHICH 14 ARE ARRANGED ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CASING 11 SO AS TO DEFINE THEREBETWEEN A GAP SMALLER THAN THE DIAMETER OF THE MOVABLE CONTACT 15 AND WHICH HAS A PAIR OF CONTACT PORTIONS 13B AND 14B; AND A GUIDE SECTION 12 WHICH IS PROVIDED ON THE BOTTOM PLATE 11A OF THE CASING 11 AND WHICH GUIDES THE MOVABLE CONTACT 15 FROM THE HOME POSITION 11F TO THE PAIR OF CONTACT PORTION 13B AND 14B.
