A SWITCH (101) COMPRISING A DIAL KNOB (112); A FIRST ONE PIECE HOUSING (102) WHICH ALONE ROTATABLY SUPPORTS A DIAL KNOB; AND A SECOND HOUSING (134) WHICH SUPPORTS A TERMINAL PORTION (155C,155P) TO BE CONTACTED WITH TERMINALS OF THE DIAL KNOB, AND WHICH IS COUPLED TO THE FIRST HOUSING. A LIGHT SOURCE (156) IS DISPOSED WITHIN THE SECOND HOUSING. A DISPLAY UNIT (117,168,169) THROUGH WHICH LIGHT FROM THE LIGHT SOURCE IS TRANSMITTED IS DISPOSED ON THE DIAL KNOB AND/OR ON A THIRD HOUSING (163) WHICH IS COUPLED TO THE FIRST AND SECOND HOUSINGS(102,134)FIGURE 1
