Abstract

THERE IS PROVIDED A MODIFIED POLYOLEFIN COMPOSITION WHICH COMPRISES (A) HIGH- PRESSURE-PROCESSED LOW-DENSITY POLYETHYLENE HAVING A MELT FLOW RATE OF 0.1 TO 10 G/10 MINUTES AND A DENSITY OF 0.915 TO 0.935 G/CM3, (B) AN ETHYLENE HOMOPOLYMER AND/OR ETHYLENE/AIPHA-OLEFIN COPOLYMER HAVING A MELT FLOW RATE OF 0.1 TO 30 G/10 MINUTES AND A DENSITY OF 0.910 TO 0.965 G/CM3, WHICH ARE SUBSTANTIALLY LINEAR AND ARE PRODUCED BY USING A TRANSITION METAL CATALYST AND (C) A NON- CRYSTALLINE OR LOW-CRYSTALLINE ETHYLENE/ALPHA- OLEFIN COPOLYMER HAVING A MELT FLOW RATE OF 0.1 TO 10 WI 0 MINUTES AND A DENSITY OF LESS THAN 0.900 G/CM3, IN WHICH AN AMOUNT OF EACH OF THE COMPONENTS (A), (B) AND (C) IS RESPECTIVELY 50 TO 70 % BY WEIGHT, 20 TO 45 % BY WEIGHT AND 5 TO 30 % BY WEIGHT BASED ON THE TOTAL WEIGHT OF THESE COMPONENTS (A), (B) AND (C), AND AT LEAST A PART OF THE COMPONENTS (A), (B) AND (C) IS GRAFT-MODIFIED WITH AN UNSATURATED CARBOXYLIC ACID OR A DERIVATIVE THEREOF; AND A LAMINATED STRUCTURE COMPRISING A COMPOSITION LAYER COMPOSED OF THE MODIFIED POLYOLEFIN COMPOSITION OF CLAIM 1 AND A RESIN LAYER EXISTING ON AT LEAST ONE SIDE OF THE COMPOSITION LAYER. THE TUBULAR LAMINATED STRUCTURE HAVING AN OUTER LAYER COMPOSED OF SAID MODIFIED POLYOLEFIN COMPOSITION, PRODUCED BY CO-EXTRUSION AND COOLING HAS NO WATER MARKS.
