Abstract

TO PROVIDE A MOTORCYCLE HAVING A FOOT REST MOUNTING STRUCTURE IN WHICH A FOOT REST IS FIXED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE CRANKCASE AND FOOT SEATS ARE NOT CAUGHT EASILY BY PROTRUSIONS ON THE ROAD OVER WHICH THE MOTORCYCLE CLIMBS.BENEATH THE CRANKCASE (10) IS PROVIDED AN UNDER GUARD (17) EXTENDING HORIZONTALLY REARWARDLY FROM THE LOWER FORWARD END OF THE CRANKCASE. THE REAR OF THE UNDER GUARD (17) IS FIXED TO THE CRANKCASE (10) WITH FOOT REST BOLTS (21). THE UNDER GUARD (17) AND THE MOUNTING PLATE (20) OF THE FOOT REST (16) COVER THE SUBSTANTIALLY ENTIRE SURFACE OF THE BOTTOM OF THE CRANKCASE (10). (FIG. 3)
