A COMPACT SATELLITE NAVIGATION SYSTEM IN WHICH THE GPS OF THE OBU (ON BOARD UNIT) (1) SENDS THE DATA OF VEHICLE COORDINATES AND DESTINATION TO A REMOTE CONTROL COMPUTER (3) THROUGH A GSM (GLOBAL SYSTEM FOR MOBILE ) COMMUNICATION DEVICE (13), ENABLING THE NAVIGATION SERVER OF THE REMOTE CONTROL COMPUTER TO COMPARE ELECTRONIC MAP DATABASE (31) SO AS TO COMPUTE THE GUIDING ROUTE CONTAINING COORDINATES OF TURNING POINTS AND THE RELATED INFORMATION OF TURNING AND THEN TO SEND THE GUIDING ROUTE BACK TO THE GSM COMMUNICATION DEVICE (13) OF THE OBU (1) FOR STORING IN A MEMORY UNIT (14). THE MICROPROCESSOR (15) OF THE OBU COMPARES THE COORDINATES OF THE NEXT TURNING POINT STORED IN THE MEMORY UNIT, AND OUTPUTS THE CORRESPONDING INFORMATION OF TURNING TO GUIDE THE DRIVER TO THE DESTINATION.(FIGURE 2)
