Abstract

THERE IS DISCLOSED A SOLAR POWERED REFRIGERATING SYSTEM THAT UTILIZES ENERGY MAINLY FROM THE SUN. THE REFRIGERATING SYSTEM IS SHOWN COMPRISES OF A THERMALLY INSULATED STORAGE CABINET (1) WITH AN INTERNAL COMPARTMENT (2), A DIRECT CURRENT COMPRESSOR UNIT (9), A CONDENSER (10), AN EVAPORATOR COIL (10), A SOLAR CELLS ARRAY (20), A BATTERY MEANS (19), A REGULATOR UNIT (21) AND AN ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT (22). THE REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT WOULD NORMALLY UTILIZES POWER FROM THE SOLAR CELLS ARRAY (20) AND CHARGES THE BATTERY WHEN THERE IS AN EXCESS OF ENERGY. POWER FROM THE BATTERY MEANS (19) IS ONLY UTILIZE WHEN OUTPUT FROM SOLAR CELLS ARRAY (20) IS UNAVAILABLE OR FALLS BELOW THE PREDETERMINED LEVEL. THE BATTERY MEANS POWER USAGE IS ALSO HALTED WHEN THE ENERGY LEVEL IN THE BATTERY FALLS BELOW A PREDETERMINED LEVEL. THE PRESENT INVENTION OFFERS A HIGHLY EFFICIENT SOLAR POWERED REFRIGERATING SYSTEM FOR USE IN ANY CONDITION AND AT ANY LOCATION. FIG. 2
