AN INFUSION CANNULA (2) COMPRISES A SHEATH (4), A HANDLING PORTION (6) AND A CATHETER PORTION (8). THE HANDLING PORTION HAS A GRIPPING MEMBER (16) IN WHICH A CANNULA (14) IS MOUNTED. THE CATHETER PORTION (8) COMPRISES A CATHETER (12) CONNECTED TO A CATHETER BASE (10).THE CATHETER PORTION IN FURTHER SUPPORTED BY THE CANNULA (14). THE SHEATH (4) IN ITS MOUNTED STATE ENCLOSES THE CANNULA (14), SAID CATHETER (12) SUPPORTED THEREBY, AND AT LEAST PART OF SAID CATHETER BASE (10). (FIG.2)
