Abstract
A PUSH BUTTON SWITCH IN WHICH WIRE MEMBERS (8,17,37,), BEING CHEAPER AND MORE EASILY WORKABLE THAN PIECES OF STRIP SHEET-METAL, ARE EMPLOYED WITH ARRANGEMENTS BEING MADE FOR PREVENTING THE WIRE MEMBERS FROM ROTATING RELATIVE TO AN INSULATING CASING (1,11,31) OF THE SWITCH AND FROM DISENGAGING FROM THE INSULATING CASING, SO THAT THE PUSH BUTTON SWITCH IS HIGHLY RELIABLE WHILE REDUCING THE WEAR OF BLADES FOR CUTTING THE TERMINALS OF THE SWITCH AND REDUCING MATERIAL COSTS. IN A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT, A PAIR OF WIRE MEMBERS (8,17,37), EACH INCLUDING A THICKNESS-REDUCED PORTION (8C,17A), HAVE PORTIONS CONSTITUTING A PAIR OF FIXED CONTACTS (9,12) AND A PAIR OF TERMINALS (2,13).THE THICKNESS-REDUCED PORTIONS (8C,17A) OF THE WIRE MEMBERS ARE BURIED IN A WALL OF AN INSULATING CASING (1,11).(FIG. 1)
