THE INVENTION RELATES TO A PROCESS FOR THE CATALYTIC AROMATIZATION OF HYDROCARBONS CONTAINING 5 TO 9 CARBONS ATOMS PER MOLECULE.IT IS CHARACTERIZED BY THE USE OF A CATALYST CONTAINING A MFI ZEOLITE CONTAINING AT LEAST ONE NOBLE METAL FROM THE PLATINUM FAMILY AND AT LEAST ONE ADDITIONAL METAL CHOSEN FROM THE GROUP CONSTITUTED BY TIN, GERMANIUM, LEAD AND INDIUM, AND OPTIONALLY AN AMORPHOUS MATRIX.
