THE PRESENT INVENTION CONCERNS A METHOD FOR COMBATING INSECT INFESTATION IN RICE USING AN INSECTICIDALLY ACTIVE N'-SUBSTITUTED-N,N'- DIACYLHYDRAZINE. THE INVENTION ALSO ENCOMPASSES A VENDIBLE ARTICLE WHICH COMPRISES A CONTAINER, AN INSECTICIDALLY ACTIVE N'-SUBSTITUTED-N, N'-DIACYLHYDRAZINE AND INSTRUCTING INFORMATION FOR APPLYING SAID ACTIVE COMPOUND TO RICE.
