ACCORDING TO THE INVENTION, THE DISTRIBUTOR (3) IS AN OPTICAL SYSTEM, COMPRISING ARRANGED ON A COMMON OPTICAL AXIS TWO TAPER LENSES (5,6) AND A TELESCOPIC OBJECTIVE (7) AND CAPABLE OF TRANSFORMING A PARALLEL CYLINDRICAL BEAM (2) OF RADIATION EMITTED BY THE LASER (1), INTO A VARIABLE-DIAMETER ANNULAR BEAM (20), THE MAXIMUM VALUE OF THE BEAM DIAMETER BEING COMPARABLE WITH THE DIAMETER OF A PATIENT'S CORNEA (4).(FIG 1)
