Abstract

A SHAVING SYSTEM IN WHICH A BLADE UNIT SEATS ON A PLATFORM AND IS RETAINED IN POSITION BY AN OVERLYING CAP. THE CAP IS MOVABLE BETWEEN AN OPEN POSITION TO PERMIT INSERTION AND REMOVAL OF THE BLADE UNIT AND A CLOSED POSITION TO RETAIN SAID BLADE UNIT IN POSITION ON THE PLATFORM. THE BLADE UNIT INCLUDES TWO PARALLEL BLADES WITH AN INTERPOSED SPACER WHICH EXTENDS BEYOND THE ENDS OF SAID BLADES TO FACILITATE HANDLING OF THE BLADE UNIT. (FIG. 3)
