Abstract
PARTICULATE NONRUBBER MATERIALS ARE DISCLOSED WHICH ARE DERIVED FROM SERUMS BY PRODUCED DURING TREATMENT OF NATURAL RUBBER LATEXES. SUCH MATERIALS CONSIST ESSENTIALLY OF NONRUBBER COMPONENTS PRESENT IN THOSE SERUMS AND HAVE AN AVERAGE PARTICLE SIZE OF 10 TO 100 MICRONS. THE MATERIALS ARE SUITABLE FOR INSTANCE FOR RUBBER PRODUCTS AND PHARMACEUTICALS MANUFACTURE. ALSO PROVIDED IS A METHOD OF PRODUCING SUCH NONRUBBER MATERIALS BY SPRAY-DRYING THE SERUMS AT 150? TO 250?C.
