Abstract

NOVEL SUBSTITUTED PHENYLBENZYL- (DIMETHYLCYCLOPROPYMETHYL) ETHERS OF THE FORMULA IN WHICH X1 AND X2 EACH INDEPENDENTLY OF THE OTHER REPRESENTS FLUORINE, CHLORINE OR BROMINE; OR X1 AND X2 BOTH REPRESENT METHYL NAD THE OPTICAL ISOMERS OF THE COMPOUND OF THE FORMULA 1; PROCESS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF THOSE COMPOUNDS AND COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING THEM FOR USE IN PEST CONTROL ESPECIALLYFOR THE CONTROL OF INSECTS, ESPECIALLY THE LARVEL STAGES THEREOF, THAT ATTACK PLANTS AND ANIMALS. THE NOVEL COMPOUNDS EXHIBIT GOOD ACTIVITY ESPECIALLY AGAINST INSECTS THAT DAMAGE PLANTS IN RICE CROPS.
