Description
PACKAGING FOR THE EXTEMPORARY MIXTURE OF TWO PRODUCTS
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a packaging for the extemporaneous mixing of two products, such as those used in the field of hair coloring, where it is necessary to pack on the one hand a dye solution intended for a hair dye and, on the other hand, part, an oxidant, necessary for the realization of the dye solution. The packaging according to the invention is of the type comprising: a first bottle intended to contain a first product, a bottle that is open at its base in the shape of and endowed, at its upper end, with a tubular dispensing end; - means of attachment fixed on the base of the first bottle, comprising a central chimney itself to receive in its upper part a separable plug that allows the closure of the first bottle - a second bottle intended to contain a second product, equipped with a neck apt to fit in said central chimney, said neck being equipped with a removable closing means, the neck carrying actuating means for, after lifting the closing means, cooperating with its complementary means provided on the central chimney, to allow the expulsion of the obturator and allow the mixing of both products. The FR 2 680 357 patent is a packaging of this type in which the joining means are constituted by a piece, clamp type whose function is multiple. This part, in fact, supports the obturator, allows on the one hand the coupling in a sealed manner with the first flask and on the other hand the engagement with the second flask, and also defines the outer cladding of the joining zone between the two flasks. The connecting piece is mounted under pressure on the base of the first bottle, the sealing being ensured by a press fitting of a part of the connecting piece on the first bottle. The tightness resulting from this assembly can sometimes be insufficient, in particular when the one formed by the base of the first bottle is of a relatively large diameter (typically of the order of 3 to 5 cm). It is an effect, particularly when such a container is made of thermoplastic material, the guarantees on the quality of realization of such a bottle, as well as the dimensional tolerances are superior to those of a traditional bottle. The precariousness of this type of sealing is reinforced by the fact that in vertical position, the sealing area is bathed by the liquid, which can unfavorably modify the properties of the thermoplastic material, thus significantly affecting the tightness. On the other hand, the screwing-in of such a connecting piece is excluded in the hypothesis that the package, particularly in the vicinity of the connecting piece, is of non-circular section, for example oval. In fact, due to manufacturing tolerances, it would be impossible to guarantee for an airtight fit of the connecting piece on the first bottle, an angular position sufficiently accurate to have an alignment of the coating with the outer surface of the first bottle. Therefore, one of the objects of the invention is to provide a package for the extemporaneous mixing of two products, which does not have the drawbacks mentioned above.
A particular object of the invention is to provide such a type of device, which at the same time ensures a good seal, allowing non-circular sections. Another object of the packaging according to the invention is to carry out a packaging of the aforementioned type, which is simple to make and use, and which is "inexpensive." Other objects of the invention will appear in detail in the description that follows: According to the invention, these objects are achieved carrying out a packaging of the above defined sort, characterized in that the joining means are constituted by two different pieces, defining a first piece of the upper part of the central chimney that supports the shutter, and that is screwed tightly on the skirt of the first bottle, and a second piece mounted on the first and forming a lower part of the central chimney , supporting said complementary means, means being provided to immobilize the second piece in rotation with respect to the first. Thus, according to the invention, the first part, in addition to the fact that it carries the removable plug, ensures the tight sealing of the opening delimited by the bases of the first bottle. The second part, in addition to the fact of carrying means participating in the ejection of the removable obturator, advantageously supports coating skirt type means, in alignment with the outer surface of the package assembly. The fact of disconnecting the function of the sealing of the coating function allows not sacrificing one of them for the benefit of the other and vice versa. In effect, the tightness, mainly ensures when the first piece is screwed on the bottle, it can be the best possible, adjusting the first piece at will on the bottle. The second part can then be assembled without sensitive indicative elements on the first one, according to the desired angular position, so that, if necessary, the covering skirt can be aligned with respect to the rest of the container. Advantageously, the packaging according to the invention comprises means for, after screwing the first piece on the base of the first bottle, to block in rotation said first piece with respect to the first bottle. This avoids any false maneuver that may lead to the uncoupling of the joining means and the first bottle. Such means may include attachment by protrusion and notch whose profile allows rotation in a direction of the first part with respect to the first bottle, for screwing, but which prevents any rotation in the reverse direction. According to a preferred embodiment, the second piece is mounted under pressure on the first and is held axially by a pressure closure device, the means for immobilizing the second part in rotation for grooves arranged on an internal surface of the second piece, and intended to cooperate with complementary grooves that present an external surface of the first piece. The grooves are made to cover a small angular portion (typically less than 5 °), to allow a relatively accurate alignment of a coating supported by the second part relative to the first bottle. This feature is very particularly advantageous when the package, at least in the vicinity of the joining means, is of a non-circular section. The shutter can be mounted by snap fit on the upper part of the central chimney.
A sealing rim may be provided on the inner surface of the upper part of the central chimney, to establish a seal between said inner surface and the neck when the latter is in the position of ejecting the obturator. However, other means could be used to perform such sealing. Said removable closure means may be constituted by a plug, coupling means, in particular of the type of thread, have been provided between the neck and the stopper, while, on the other hand, the complementary entrainment means are provided on an internal surface of the lower portion of the central chimney and being arranged so as not to interfere with the part of the coupling means provided on the neck of the second bottle. The actuating means advantageously comprise at least one projection on an external surface of the neck projecting radially outwards, the complementary means provided on the inner surface of the central chimney comprising at least one helical ramp of its own to cooperate with the projection .
Generally, two projections are foreseen, to which correspond two spiral diametrically opposed ramps. According to a preferred embodiment, the coupling means are constituted by a thread, the ramp to the helical ramps having a pitch greater than that of the thread. Thus, with a small angle of rotation of the second bottle with respect to the first one, an important axial displacement of the neck of the second bottle can be achieved inside the central chimney, for the expulsion of the closing means. The axial displacement of the neck with respect to the central chimney, necessary to eject the obturator, can therefore be obtained by a rotation of less than one turn of the second bottle relative to the first. According to a particular embodiment, the packaging according to the invention forms a volume generated by a surface which, at least in the vicinity of the joining means, is circular in section, for example oval. The lower part of the central chimney can comprise an own unscrewing brake to cooperate with a projection of the second bottle.
Such an unscrewing brake can be constituted by a protrusion exceeded by the projection at the end of the screwing in the helical ramp. Advantageously, said projection is provided on a cylindrical surface whose outer diameter is substantially equal to the external diameter of the cap intended to close the second bottle during the storage period, the internal diameter of the lower part of the central chimney being sufficient to allow the entrance of said cylindrical surface and therefore of the plug. In the storage position, it is possible to adjust the neck of the second bottle, provided in the stopper, in the central chimney of the connection means, which reduces the volume of occupation. Preferably, the packaging is arranged so that, in the storage position, the plug can enter substantially completely in the lower part of the central chimney. According to a specific embodiment, the first piece is constituted by an organ forming a first U-shaped annular groove with an inner wall, an outer wall, and a bottom joining the inner wall to the outer wall, the wall being extended interior by an extension of smaller diameter, which forms the upper part of the central chimney, the internal surface of the outer wall having a proper thread to cooperate with another corresponding thread provided on the base of the first bottle. There may be a sealing skirt disposed at the bottom of the U-shaped groove between the inner wall and the outer wall, said sealing skirt t having a profile able to cooperate (in particular by crushing) with a complementary profile formed on the established by the base of the first vial, in order to establish a perfect tightness between the first bottle and the first piece. Advantageously, the profile of the sealing skirt, on the side intended to cooperate with the base of the first bottle, has a frustoconical or inclined shape, for grouping, by screwing the first piece on the first bottle, a satisfactory seal, and this under the effect of a push exerted by a corresponding frustoconical profile, previous on the internal surface of the base of the bottle. Likewise, the second part may comprise a second U-shaped annular groove, apt to receive under pressure the first U-shaped annular groove, said second U-shaped annular groove having an inner wall, an outer wall, and a bottom connecting the inner wall to the outer wall, the inner wall forming the lower part of said central chimney, means being provided to axially immobilize said second piece. Preferably, the outer wall of the second annular groove supports one of the lining. The package according to the invention can be made with thermoplastic material chosen from polyethylenes (PE), polypropylenes (PP), polyethylenes terephthalates (PET), polyvinyl chlorides (PVC), or with a complex of type PE / Ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) / PE, PE / PET, etc. As an alternative, the second bottle can be made with glass, which constitutes an effective barrier against oxygen in the air, for its content. Advantageously, the packaging according to the invention is used for a hair coloring product, the first product being an oxidant, and the second product an oxidation dye. As an alternative, the first product can be an activator (thioglycolic acid for example) and the second product, a base lotion for permanent capillary. The invention consists, apart from the provisions that are set out, in a number of other provisions that will be detailed below, for reasons of non-limiting embodiments, described with reference to the attached figures, among which: - Figure 1 is a view (partially in section) of an embodiment of the packaging according to the invention; - Figure 2 is a top view of the embodiment of Figure 1; - Figure 3 is an exploded view of the packaging of Figure 1; Figure 4A and 4B illustrate views of details of the packaging of Figure 1; and - Figures 5 and 6 are partially sectioned views of the packaging according to Figure 1, for purposes of illustration of their embodiment. With reference to the drawings, in particular to Figures 1 to 4A-4B, we will see that they can be seen in a packaging C composed of two bottles 1, 2 that allow two products to be stored separately from each other, generally two liquid and mixed products at the time of use. The first bottle 1 is intended to contain a first liquid product, for example an oxidant, intended to be mixed, at the time of use, with an oxidation dye, contained in the second bottle, for dyeing the hair. The bottle 1 is open at its base, constituted by a cylindrical skirt 3 of circular section. The skirt 3 is attached to the wall of the larger part of the bottle 1 by a bracket 4. Regularly arranged hooks 50 are arranged on the periphery of the bracket 4, which constitute, as we shall see in detail, means for blocking a piece 80 of an adjusting means 8 of the clamp type, on the bottle 1. The skirt 3 is provided, near its lower edge, with a thread 5 capable of cooperating with a corresponding thread 81 provided on the part 80 of the clamp 8, intended to be mounted on the skirt 3. At its upper end, located on the opposite end to the skirt 3, the bottle 1 is provided with a threaded neck 6 on which a closed tubular distribution end 7 can be screwed tightly, whose tip can be broken to create an opening at the time of use, in order to pour the product. There is an intermediate piece 8, made of plastic material, made in the form of two different pieces 80, 82, apt to form in a mounted position, represented in figure 1, a central chimney 83, of circular section. The piece 80 is constituted by an organ 84 forming a first U-shaped annular groove, comprising an inner wall 85, an outer wall 86, and a bottom 87 that joins the inner wall to the outer wall, the inner wall extending 85 by an extension 88 of smaller diameter, which forms the upper part of the central chimney 83. This portion 88 of smaller diameter, is proper to receive a shutter 10, formed by a kind of bowl tightly adjusted, for example by adjustment under pressure, on the free edge of the extension 88. The obturator 10 can be separated from the central chimney 83 under the action of a push exerted on this obturator 10, in the direction of the bottle 1, inside which the obturator will penetrate thus separated. The inner surface of the outer wall 86 has its own fillet 81 to cooperate with a corresponding thread 5 provided on the base 3 of the first bottle 1. A sealing skirt 89 can be arranged on the bottom 87 of the U-shaped groove between the inner wall 85 and the outer wall 86, the surface of said sealing skirt facing the outer wall 86 having a frustoconical profile or even 90, capable of deforming radially inwards when the first piece is screwed onto the flask 1, under the pressure exerted by a corresponding frustoconical (or inclined) profile 104 formed on the inner surface of the skirt 3, to establish a perfect tightness between the first flask 1 and the first part 80. Other sealing profiles according to the invention can be used. . The free edge of the outer wall 86 has hooks 91, suitable for fitting, when the piece 80 is screwed onto the base of the bottle 1, with the corresponding hooks 50 provided on the stirrup 4 formed by the base of the bottle 1. As has been shown in FIG. 4A, the hooks 91 have, on the one hand,, a straight edge, and on the other side, an edge that forms a ramp to allow the hooks 91 to pass through the 50, when the piece 82 is screwed on the bottle 1, preventing it from rotating in the opposite direction of the piece 80 to the bottle 1. A pressure adjusting wheel 92 is arranged on the external surface of the outer wall 86 of the U, to cooperate by snap fit with a groove 93 provided on the part 82. There is a sealing rim 100 arranged on the internal surface of the extension 88, near its free edge, to form a seal with the neck of the second bottle 2, when the mixture is made (position shown in figure 1). Likewise, the second piece 82, which constitutes the connecting piece 8, comprises a second annular groove in 94 U-shaped able to receive under pressure the first annular groove 84 in U-shape, said second ring-shaped throat having a U shape. an inner wall 95, an outer wall 96 and a bottom 97 that connects the inner wall to the outer wall, the inner wall 95 forming the lower part of said central chimney 83. The internal dimensions of the throat 94 are slightly greater than the dimensions of the throat 84, so that the part 82 can be press fit onto the part 80. In this embodiment, the upper part 88 of the central chimney 83 is slightly smaller in section than the lower part 95. There is a flap lining 98 whose cross section has a shape similar to that of the cross section of the bottle 1, which is supported by the outer wall 96 of the annular groove 84. This shape is preferably oval, as is FIG. 2 is shown. The assembly of the part 82 on the part 80 is made, after screwing 80 onto the skirt 3 of the bottle 1, by inserting the annular groove 84 into the annular groove 94 in order to keep them fixedly in rotation each other, the inner surface of the outer wall 96 has ribs 99, apt to cooperate with corresponding grooves 101 (see detail in Figure 4B) provided on the external surface of the outer wall 86 of the first part 80. The laying in position obtained it is of sufficient precision making grooves so that they delimit a small angular portion
(typically less than 5 °). The axial immobilization of 82 relative to 80 is obtained by means of the pressure adjusting groove 93 provided on the inner surface of the outer wall 96, pressure adjusting groove 93 cooperating with the impeller 92 provided on the part 80.
When the parts 80 and 82, fitted with the shutter 10, are mounted in the manner indicated above on the bottle 1 (see FIG. 5), this bottle is closed in a sealed manner at its lower part. Actually, the sealing is only ensured by the sealed assembly of the first part 80. The lower part of the central chimney 83 is able to receive the neck 24 of the second bottle 2, which contains the dye. The neck 24 is equipped, for maintenance, with a plug 25, which is sealed. Coupling means L is provided between the neck 24 and the plug 25. These means are constituted by a thread 26 provided on the cylindrical surface outside the neck 24, and a conjugate thread 27 provided on the internal cylindrical surface of the plug 25, arranged in the form of a kind of cylindrical cap. The pitch of the thread 26 (as well as the thread 27) has a reduced value. As an alternative, we will say that the neck 24 of the bottle 2 can be blocked by a heat-sealed cover, or other equivalent means.
Advantageously, the outer diameter d of the plug 25 is slightly smaller than the inner diameter h of the lower part 95 of the central chimney 83, so that the plug 25 can be introduced into this chimney, as presented in figure 5. they have presented actuating means 28, in the form of two diametrically opposed projections, on the neck 24. Complementary actuator means 29 are provided on the internal surface of the lower part of the central chimney 83. Such complementary means are constituted by two helical ramps 29 proper to cooperate respectively with the projections 28. The passage of the ramps is preferably markedly superior to that of the thread 26. Advantageously, the passage of the helical ramps 29 is established in such a way that the axial path of the neck 24, with respect to the central chimney 83, necessary to expel the obturator 10, it is obtained by a rotation lower than a rotation of the neck 24 r the connection means 8. The combination of the projections 28 and the helical ramps 29 makes it possible to ensure an accurate angular position of the bottle 2 in relation to the joining means 8, at the end of the assembly of the projections 28 and of the ramps 29 The interior cylindrical surface of the lower part 95 of the central chimney 83 has a diameter h greater than the maximum outer diameter of the thread 26, so that the helical ramps 29 can not interfere with the thread 26 when it is introduced through the chimney 83. the neck 24, released from its plug 25. Projections 28 are provided on a cylindrical surface 30 projecting radially from the neck, and whose outer diameter is substantially equal to the external diameter d of the plug 25. This cylindrical surface 30 can enter the bottom part of central chimney 83. An unscrewing brake (not shown) can be made from a projection provided on the upper end or each helical ramp 29. This projection is intended to be exceeded by the corresponding projection 28, at the end of the screwing operation, the passage being ensured by an elastic deformation. When the projection 28 has exceeded the projection, the latter blocks the projection and thus opposes the unscrewing of the bottle 2 with respect to the connecting piece 8.
The cover 98 of the part 82 will cover the second bottle 2, at the end of the connection (see position shown in figure 1). It is possible to provide a mechanical adjustment under pressure, which indicates with a slight click the end of the stroke of the bottle 2 and the release of the shutter 10., between the lower part of the skirt 98 and the bottle 2, also constituting an additional brake against unscrewing. In the embodiment illustrated in the drawings, as it is particularly visible in FIG. 5, the cap 25 has a circular flange 31 protruding radially outwardly at its bottom and limits the entrance of the cap 25 to the central chimney 83. , for the storage position. The filling of the bottles, their maintenance and their realization are carried out as follows. The plug 10 is placed in position on the upper part 88 of the central chimney 83. Next, the piece 80 is screwed in a watertight arrangement on the skirt 3 of the bottle 1. The lower part of the bottle is thus hermetically sealed. Next, the second piece 82 is mounted on piece 80. Its angular position is adjusted so as to align the covering skirt 98 on the bottle 1. The bottle 1 is then filled, for example with oxidizing liquid, through the opening provided at its upper end. The tubular dispensing end 7 is then screwed onto the upper neck of the bottle 1. The bottle 2 is then filled, for example with dye, and then sealed in a sealed manner by the plug 25 which is screwed onto the neck 24. Eventually , bottles 1 and 2 can be stored separately. Preferably, however, for maintenance in storage, the plug 25, fixed on the neck 24, is inserted through the lower part of the central chimney 83, in the manner shown in figure 5. At the moment in which the operator wishes to use the container by mixing the two liquids, removes the bottle 2 from the attachment means 8 and unscrews the cap 25. The operator inserts the neck 24, free of its cap, through the central chimney 83 and axially sinks the neck by rotating it until the projections 28 adjust with the base of the helical ramps 29. By a rotation movement between the bottle 2 and the intermediate piece 8, the operator ensures the rise of the projections 28 by the ramps 29, as shown in the figure 6. At the end of the upward stroke, the upper part of the neck 24 expels the obturator 10 and unclogs the bottle 1. In the meantime, the sealing rim 100 has come into sealed contact with the external surface of the neck 24, c As it is illustrated in FIG. 1. Advantageously, means of type projections are provided on a portion (typically 90 °) of the periphery of the shutter 10, to facilitate ejection of the obturator. These ridges in effect make it possible to locate the ejection force exerted by the neck 24, firstly on an angular portion only of the obturator, which, compared to an expulsion force exerted in the same way and at the same time, on the entire periphery of the 10 shutter, requires less force. Eventually, the projections 28 are stopped in their end-of-screw position by the screwing brakes provided on the ramp 29. The operator, after having agitated the container thus made, can proceed to open the tubular dispensing end 7, to apply mix. The bottle 2 is kept assembled in a hermetic manner with the bottle 1 in the course of the application of the product. In the detailed description above, reference has been made to preferred embodiments of the invention. It is evident that variants can be provided without departing from the spirit of the invention as claimed below.
It is noted that in relation to this date, the best method known by the applicant to carry out the present invention, is the conventional one for the manufacture of the objects to which it refers. Having described the invention as above, the content of the following is claimed as property:
